The iRecord solution powered by NICE Investigate enables agencies to securely store interview room recordings in the cloud, and share those recordings digitally to more quickly address public health concerns and accelerate investigations
Indianapolis, IN – DATE – The traditional way of sharing recorded interview evidence by police departments and other public safety professionals, such as child advocacy groups and SART teams, is time-consuming and often requires personal couriers to deliver USB drives, raising concerns in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. To overcome these challenges, Word Systems announces that it is leveraging NICE Investigate, a cloud-based Digital Evidence Management solution that captures, analyzes and shares digital evidence to deliver the benefits of workflow automation to its iRecord customers.
With the new iRecord solution, powered by NICE Investigate, investigators, attorneys, public safety professionals, child advocacy forensic investigators, and healthcare professionals can now securely store interview room recordings and other court-admissible digital audio video files in the cloud, share these recordings electronically with other stakeholders, and securely access them from any location, to expedite investigations, save time and money, and reduce the inherent health risks of face-to-face interactions and in-person evidence delivery.
“All approved parties who need to review interview evidence for a case will now be able to do so with increased speed and personal safety,” said Ryan Vogt, Director of Business Development, Word Systems. “Courts will also be able to access necessary evidence in a timelier manner, thus supporting a more streamlined case process from the investigation through to the court ruling. This latest enhancement to our iRecord solution is a result of feedback we’ve received during countless meetings with law enforcement agencies and child advocacy centers over the years,”
Vogt added, “Word Systems is dedicated to continuing to enhance our solutions to support the evolving needs of law enforcement, courts and our other customers who rely on our technology for storing, sharing and accessing court admissible evidence.”
“As part of the cloud-based Evidencentral platform, NICE Investigate has helped public safety and criminal justice agencies around the world bridge the digital divide to radically transform how they capture, share and manage data,” said Chris Wooten, Executive Vice President, NICE. “Now serving as the cloud and automation backbone for iRecord, iRecord customers will be able to leverage these proven capabilities.”
