Interviewing and recording needs are bigger than your still-very-important public safety and forensic needs, a fact highlighted by the recent adoption of iRecord’s digital video and audio recording system The Christian Theological Seminary Counseling Center, an educational institution on the Northside of Indianapolis.
The Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) Counseling Center provides a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for clients to work through the challenges and issues they come to resolve.
The CTS Counseling Center needed a solution—a system that offered compatibility between the students and the supervisors when it came to recording because the system they were using was unreliable, produced poor quality recordings, and was very difficult to use. Priorities for the Center in their search was a recording system that would provide them with state-of-the art technology, as well as ease of use.
The Center found their solution in iRecord’s digital video recording and management system which is designed specifically for on-demand recording and content management.
“We choose iRecord because it fits our counseling recording purposes perfectly,” said Patrick Farmer, Senior Systems Engineer for CTS.”
iRecord provides a simple and proficient recording system for The CTS Counseling Center, allowing all students and supervisors involved in sessions to review recordings for the purpose of self-critique, grading and practicum in their Capstone program—a course which the students need to graduate.
“In dealing with the confidential and sensitive information that we do, it’s imperative that we have a recording system that works every single time,” said Farmer. “iRecord has never malfunctioned, giving everyone involved complete confidence.”
The Center has placed a high resolution camera in each counseling rooms along with a high quality omnidirectional microphone that records in 100% synchronization Windows Media files and DVD formats which makes it easy for the students and the counselors to review their sessions. CTS students also use “META DATA” to classify their recording by key words, utilize the note feature to mark the key areas of the session and also use redaction to edit out portions of the recording.
