iRECORD HELPS CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER KIDS HUB IN HATTIESBURG, MISSISSIPPI, OPEN ITS DOORS EARLY AND REACH 46,000 KIDS WITH FORENSIC INTERVIEWS SERVICES.
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana- August 1, 2015- iRecord, the leading manufacturer of digital video recording and evidence management solutions for law enforcement professionals, is helping Child Advocacy Centers across the US provide services to victims of child abuse. Earlier this year iRecord conducted its Help End Child Abuse contest and Kids Hub, the winner, with over 118,000 votes has just opened its doors in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The CAC is ecstatic to share the impact of the contest.

Kids Hub won a fully-equipped digital and video recording system by iRecord, which enabled them to push up the timeline for opening their doors to July 1, 2015 and to begin closing the gap on servicing families. Today, with the fully-operating equipment, the CAC is able to serve almost 46,000 kids with forensic interviews.
One of the biggest obstacles the community faced when it came to forensic interviews and ensuring children had the services they needed in child abuse cases was the logistical challenge of being spread across numerous counties in southern Mississippi. Executive Director DiDi Ellis explained they would see cases that would fall through the cracks. There weren’t always enough funds to send the local DHS or law enforcement agency to the families, and families weren’t always able to afford to come to them.
“Thanks to winning this recording equipment, we were able to get our doors open sooner and begin reaching those families in our service areas,” Ellis explained.
The goal of iRecord’s contest was to spread the word on how important it is for CACs to have the tools and equipment needed to care for children they serve. “We thank iRecord for their compassion for the Child Advocacy Center cause and their willingness to serve where there is a great need! Together, we can make sure that every child has the opportunity to be heard, supported, and protected!”
