Built upon decades of validated polygraph technology, LXCAT is designed to act as a supplement to polygraph. Like a standard polygraph system, LXCAT utilizes electrodes measuring changes in electrical conductivity of the skin and a photo-plethysmograph measuring blood volume.

The true power of LXCAT is revealed when facilitating quick, easily scored assessments while time and resources are limited. Additionally, LXCAT can assist investigations where a traditional polygraph is not readily available, or the required number of credibility assessment tests exceeds available polygraph resources. Positive results on an LXCAT test are easily followed up with traditional polygraph testing in a successive hurdles model or with additional investigative resources. LXCAT could also serve as an interim credibility assessment solution during the process of developing the procedures and allocating the resources required to sustain a full-scale polygraph program.

Simple configuration

Through strategically placed inputs, LXCAT records and analyzes physiological responses to questions by transmitting the data to a Windows laptop or tablet for analysis.

Rugged, waterproof, and dustproof connectors

LXCAT employs the same quick-release connectors as the Lafayette LX6 polygraph system and features medical grade isolation with an increased EDA range and optimized PLE constant.

Highly standardized test structure

LXCAT is an expedient method for screening individuals by taking advantage of a highly standardized test with structured automation of both test administration and data analysis. The integrated structure and automation reduce requirements for professional training when compared to standard polygraph.
